Seared Scallops with Lemon Butter Sauce
Elevate your seafood night with perfectly seared scallops, drizzled in a rich lemon butter sauce for a touch of elegance.
Ingredients:
- 10 fresh scallops, cleaned
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
METHOD
- Pat scallops dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over high heat. Sear scallops for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet. Stir in garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Add lemon juice and zest, and simmer briefly.
- Spoon the sauce over scallops and garnish with chives. Serve with crusty bread or a side salad.
