Seared Scallops with Lemon Butter Sauce

Elevate your seafood night with perfectly seared scallops, drizzled in a rich lemon butter sauce for a touch of elegance.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh scallops, cleaned
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives

METHOD

  1. Pat scallops dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over high heat. Sear scallops for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet. Stir in garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Add lemon juice and zest, and simmer briefly.
  4. Spoon the sauce over scallops and garnish with chives. Serve with crusty bread or a side salad.
